AUTHENTIC MORAL, SPIRITUAL & FINANCIAL VALUES!
As represented by TAURUS, VENUS and 2nd House.

       
Spring is a potent mix with Aries, Taurus and Gemini ~ speaking DIRECTLY to the energy of the "Re-Birth" of *NOW* ~ Initiation ~ Cultivation ~ Communication. Aries Initiates the action, then Taurus comes along to anchor it. Every year we are presented with an opportunity to create or improve our *GARDEN* of life, where we experience beauty and receive nutrient. Taurus' ruler, Venus, also rules your *values and priorities* ~ what's most *important and valuable* to you, that which you spend your resources on. What seeds will you plant this season? How will they reflect the major evolution you've undergone in light of Venus' 8 Year Cycle, Re-Birthing your *NEW* Values & Priorities? (2010-2018) You must clarify your intentions to maximize the benefits of the current planetary energy and alignments. You are so very supported, and being prepared for what's to come, so you must strengthen and fortify wherever and however you can and then show GRATITUDE for that process (and all it entails). Taurus reminds us of how powerful gratitude and generosity can be when given sincerely and from the heart.

  

Throughout Taurus time, we are deeply supported for cultivating inner and outer lives of beauty and stability. Think in terms of a garden and what you are planting, cultivating and nurturing to grow and evolve *TOGETHER* into something that reminds you how the whole (your life) is greater than the sum of its parts (various aspects of your Being). A plant here or there, a vegetable here or there, is a good start, but imagine a garden that contains ALL YOU CAN IMAGINE would/could feed your heart and soul, as well as your mind and body. A space of your own creation ~ that calms you down and fills you up. A space that blossoms in response to your loving care. This can be a literal garden, and I highly recommend planting something this season that symbolizes the growth you are aiming to achieve. But more importantly, this is an *ESSENCE* ... a *RESONANCE* you want to tune in to that yields results that may be invisible, but are no less tangible and necessary for life on this planet.

  

Because of the larger evolutionary themes, we are also faced with the challenge of coming up with a new plan of action, perhaps even new goals altogether, that are a better reflection of the *new* identity you've now created. Try not to 'throw the baby out with the bathwater' but absolutely review (and OWN) where you are, what you have and what you want, now and for your future. Your short and long term goals and the plans to attain them must be adjusted and possibly revised at this time. Motivations must be pure and actions based in integrity. You have to define what is truly important to you (Taurus rules values) and not get side tracked with excess (Taurus energy seeks comfort through food, sex, spending money etc). You can access Taurus' polar opposite, Scorpio for its military discipline because playtime is over - it's time to do the work or step aside and accept the consequences of your choice(s), keeping in mind that doing 'nothing' is also a choice. For better or worse, depending on the integrity of your investment, there is an equal return coming your way within the year.

  

Call on Venus, the planet of art, love and beauty, which are ~ ALL ETERNAL ... and they are also THE KEYS to getting in-sync with Mother Earth (your true tangible reality), then the material will come in to being automatically. This year's Taurus New Moon comes only 3 days before the Gate of Power / Cross Qtr *BELTANE* and the focus is *fertility* and *abundance* ~ moreover, *fruits* of your labor. Pay attention to that which can be expanded and built upon. You probably have a renewed sense of self-worth, as well as a *NEW* Vision of your personal *Garden* (whatever you're cultivating). If you've done the due-diligence over the last 6-months-to-1-year, cleaning and clearing your karmic debris, then you should be amply prepared to build anew, and reap the due REWARDS.

YOUR VOICE, INFORMATION, COMMUNICATION & EXPRESSION!
As represented by GEMINI, MERCURY and 3rd House.

       
As we move in to Gemini time, we are connected with our new Identity (Aries) and we've cultivated the new values and priorities (Taurus) of that new Identity, which can/will now be *EXPRESSED* (Gemini). As you anchor and integrate this new year, Gemini energy supports COMMUNICATING your ideas to the Universe and with other supportive, imaginative people. We have had a tremendous amount of "shifting" (within and without) that desperately needs PROCESSING. As people, circumstances and experiences present themselves, it is imperative to continue the mantra in your head, "is it relevant? is it useful? *OR* is it a meaningless, petty distraction?" You will be assisted if you can be flexible, go with the flow and work behind the scenes to consolidate all that has come up for you (and through you) lately.

  

Mercury, which rules Gemini, Retrogrades 3-4 times each year, slowing down and pulling back to give you an opportunity to review your facts, ideas, thoughts and concepts. As you personally evolve, Truth becomes more fluid and how you perceive the world around you changes. Gemini time, each year, is the time to focus on how you think and how you express those thoughts; how you communicate and what you want to be a voice for. The point of the current energy is to LIGHTEN UP and balance all the hard work (of Taurus) with a little bit of social activity, or at the very least, stop and get some air. If you do not have the time (or inclination) to be sociable right now, then even more important is to find some kind of supportive community to participate with. This can be one you create or one you join.

  

We just spent the last month focusing on our resources, this is still very much the theme of "now". How do you spend your resources of time, energy and money? Continuously ask your Self if how you are utilizing your precious resources, is really serving your current Truth and Purpose and if it reflects the *new* you and *new* values/priorities. It can be hard to have an objective perspective when you've been dealing with such heavy duty issues (Taurus/Scorpio). However, Gemini is the time to focus on new ideas that will move you forward and if you have some kind of safe, supportive community to bounce your ideas around with, it can, ultimately, be more fun, as well as productive. So lighten up, try to get new perspectives, looking at your life and experiences through new eyes and try to make meaning out of the information you are getting all around you.

NOTES ON THE CURRENT RETROGRADES ...

Retrogrades are periods of time that remind us of the natural cycles of ebb and flow, of expansion and consolidation etc. Barbara Hand Clow writes, "direct planets are electrical, and they cause energy to charge and move; retrograde planets are magnetic and draw energy in." This is an opportunity offered to you on a regular basis which teaches you when you are fully supported for magnetizing and bringing in whatever you need at that time. You stop to eat and fuel your body, you stop to fuel your motor vehicles, you stop to sleep and replenish your physical Being, why would you think Great Spirit would not give you an opportunity to revitalize your life force too?

  
Rather than looking at retrogrades as such an inconvenience, look at them as opportunities to review the areas of your life represented by the current planet and sign energies and re-vital-ize (breathe new life in to) these areas which have been depleted by recent forward movement. Hopefully, the energetic resources you've spent in supposed forward movement have been worth the sacrifice, but you will always have to stop and replenish at some point. Bless that time and opportunity and honor it by taking a time-out from forward movement to pull back, slow down or (possibly choose to) reverse altogether.

   

January/February ~ 2011

Saturn is the only one going Retrograde at this time.  On the 25th it will Retrograde in Libra as we review the foundation we've laid thus far (since July 2010).  Many aspects of life are no longer relevant or viable and while we get to review our *structure* every year when Saturn does this, at this time, it is even more important to focus on *balance* ... within your own being, as well as in your interactions with others.  Part of that is being responsible for communicating your needs, negotiating partnerships (of all kinds) and being responsible for your own success.  What's also useful to note about Saturn's Retrograde this year in particular, is that it goes backward shortly after the first of the incoming Gemini/Sag Eclipses and goes forward in June 2011 right as we are having our first full set.  After much work on the *fundamentals* of life with the Cancer/Capricorn Eclipses of the last two years, we are now shifting gears to the *NEW* ideas, concepts and beliefs which will support the *new reality* we are seeding.  There is going to be much movement by Summer, Saturn's Retrograde gives us a bit of a grace period to get things organized and stabilized before we are in truly *new* territory.

Please remember that EVERYONE is going thru some major transition and probably several minor ones. Be patient, compassionate and kind in your responses to others, they may be going thru the same transition you are but sadly, cannot articulate it so they suffer a great deal more than those of you who have a support system of some kind and any sense of acceptance of your current lessons and blessings. Rebirth is hard, and labor is unpredictable in that you never know exactly how long it will take, so LOTS of water (or ice chips - ha) and deep breaths! Remember your health is vitally important, or it really does not matter what else you have going on.
