I remind you here that you are being prepared each and every day by the circumstances in which you find your Self and the choices you make along the way. Values and priorities are all-important ~ where is your current focus? How do you honor your own nature and serve your family / community and those people and entities which support your very existence? 2009 is helping you build strength and learn certain lessons you will want to have mastered (or at least gotten comfortable with) by the time 2010 arrives. Then 2010 is going to prepare you for 2011 ... and 2011 brings even more major changes leading up to and beyond 2012. You can only take things one day at a time, but Aquarius energy encourages you to be aware that everything you do as an individual affects those near and far, so be mindful of the baggage you carry in to this new era and the initiations you undertake.

~ POWER ~ OPTIONS & ADVANTAGES ~ ~ BALANCE & COMPROMISE ~ ~OPPORTUNITY TO GROW ~
POWER We start out the month with Mercury (thoughts, ideas & concepts) and Mars (action, passion & desire) in Capricorn, giving us the ability to think in very practical ways. You can connect with what needs to be done to make those ideas tangible. Mercury is also Retrograde, going Direct on February 1st, when you may experience a tangible push from the Universe. Quickly, they both move in to Aquarius, broadening your perspective on current circumstances and events. As they move through Aquarius, they will hook up with Jupiter, which in turn, will expand EVERYTHING!
This trinity of power is excellent to use now that you've completed the review (Retrograde) of your thoughts, ideas and concepts (Mercury) where your contribution (Capricorn) to the community (Aquarius) is concerned. Your Truth (Jupiter) is changing focus this year, some ideas (Mercury) may have to be adapted to better suit the time and more unconventional actions taken to preserve your ability to live your Truth and Purpose.
Adding to the mix is Sun (your essential nature) and Neptune (dreams, visions and oneness) connecting to, once again, remind you that you are an individual piece of a whole living species, separate yet connected, small yet Infinite, 3-Dimensional yet boundless. The more you understand this, the stronger you'll be for the coming new age. We are dual beings, and as such, have to manage, balance and integrate many diverse polarities throughout our lifetime, within and around us.
OPTIONS & ADVANTAGES Venus (values, priorities, art & beauty) is in Pisces, giving you access to some delicious energy as it works in harmony with Mercury, Mars and Jupiter in Aquarius. Your intuition is heightened, allowing you to access realms of consciousness not ordinarily available. After taking time to review your thought patterns and ideas (Mercury Retrograde), you should be armed with an improved plan of action (Mars). This energy makes you feel *ready* to take action (Mars) that will enable you to live your Truth (Jupiter) more fully within the context of your community (Aquarius). This energy has to be consciously directed to be useful, but gives you a golden opportunity to get more comfortable in your new skin, in this new era. Jupiter will expand your options, ideas and actions this month, one way or another, either giving you more of them or making them bigger than they were originally. Use your intuition to weed out flights of fancy, and focus your energy and attention on those options, ideas and actions which are most important to you. What are your priorities right now? What is important enough to you to be worth the investment of time and energy?
The other opportunity you have access to will assist you with getting a rhythm between your unique Self (Sun in Aquarius) and the recent initiation of major transformation of the structure of your reality (Pluto in Capricorn). If you consciously direct this energy, you can easily (and finally) purge any issues or blockages that Pluto brings to the surface, when the Sun is involved, in to the Light. Pluto is the Purifier, the Sun is your core Self, anytime they get together, renewal takes place. The angle to each other determines the ease of your transformation and this month, it is almost effortless because you are READY on so many levels. You are finding your place and furthering your current evolution. Your rights, responsibilities and reality are undergoing a major transformation with Pluto's trek through Capricorn, so naturally, your individual Self should be able to periodically benefit from an infusion of its power, moving you to new levels at record speeds. Use this energy, along with this month's Eclipses, to really and truly change those aspects of your Being which need it the most at this time.

BALANCE & COMPROMISE We have the *second* (of five) hits from Saturn in Virgo Opposing Uranus in Pisces. This is a Collective Activation that will *ping* us 5 times over a 2-year period (2009-2010) and it made me think of the "5-Act Structure" of a theatrical performance. Our initiation was Nov 4th and we have two more in 2009, February and September. There are many breakdowns and descriptions of a "5-Act Structure"

ACT 2 ~ Events accelerate, momentum builds, complications and complexities are revealed Initiating a *NEW* ERA This is the BIGGIE ... of the month, of the year, of four DECADES! Saturn in Virgo Oppose Uranus in Pisces, which is going to have FIVE exact hits (3 is 'normal') over the next 2 years, anchoring then next 40+ years. These are two energies that get together like this every (approx) 42 years (half of the Uranus 84yr cycle) and they shake up our fundamental foundations and structures to bring in new life, new energy, new ideas and new directions. Needless to say this energy strongly affects the collective, the global community which is developing as we speak. But it also affects individuals strongly as well. This is a time of ‘radically shifting’ (Uranus) your fundamental foundations (Saturn) in a push-pull dance. Watch extremes in either direction, too rigid/too radical. The point of this energy, individually and collectively, is to break you out of stagnation that is suffocating your growth and expansion on many levels, some mundane (job, marriage, long-term patterns or habits) and some on higher levels (consciousness). You will likely have an ‘aha’ moment (or several during the next two years as this aspect is activating all of us five times, over the course of 2008-2010. This is a long term cycle that takes time to truly integrate. What happens initially, is you will be blocked on some level, leading you to question your entire life, and eventually work your way around to CREATIVE SOLUTIONS to very old challenges. Don’t waste this opportunity to allow change to happen within and around you ... it is time. Honor it, go with the evolutionary flow, and consciously co-create. If you KNOW certain patterns are holding you back, then consciously commit to releasing them. If you were not happy in the work you were doing, if it was just for a paycheck and not heart-centered work, then consciously commit to figuring out what you REALLY want to contribute to society, how you - just being YOU - could best serve humanity, your community but most of all your own being. You owe your Self not to blow this chance for an inner revolution - use the energy available and release what you can, adjust what you can, integrate what you can and BE - WHAT YOU CAN (BE)! Your true potential awaits your (re) commitment. OPPORTUNITY TO GROW Here you have an opportunity to grow to the next level, whether YOU think you're ready or not. This combo requires you to *create* a way to be creative and connected while still tending to this new foundation and structure of life you are just initiating. Your values and priorities (Venus) have been through their 2+ year cycle through the lessons of the zodiac, now in Pisces completing the journey. Pisces rules the womb, where life is seeded and develops for a cycle in preparation for birth in to a new world. Prior to rebirth, Venus will Retrograde, extending her stay in Aries, allowing you to truly reinvent your Self, anchoring the new you! But right now, still in Pisces, the lesson of honoring your intuition. Venus asks you to deeply connect Spirit (Pisces) and intuit the possibilities for you and the community to which you belong ... then commit to true change (Pluto). The difficult angle between them is going to require conscious effort, strong resolve and commitment to creating a structure and foundation (Capricorn) that reflects your *NEW* values and priorities. The final reminder is that several planets are Completing (Pisces) their passage thru the zodiac which means that several planets are also approaching a *MAJOR* New Beginning (Aries) energy. We are in transition, between worlds, between ages and between some huge Earthly cycles, which is a mixed blessing. I very often, remind people that when you are GIVING, to give unconditionally and with no attachment to it being reciprocated through the exact channel you gave it to. Everything is ENERGY ... and maintaining FLOW should be your primary focus. The channel is incidental.
On a macro-level, you are going to have to serve a purpose ~ own a truth ~ and contribute to something larger than you ... also without attachment to the outcome and possibly not getting to reap direct benefits. Your solace found in that future generations will benefit from your efforts and this is your contribution to your Human Family. Maintain your full awareness of Source-Energy, which is not you but FLOWS THROUGH YOU. You block the flow when you do not fulfill your potential.
I will be studying what I call the Transitional Planets: Jupiter, Saturn and the asteroid, Chiron, which separate the personal planets and the collective planets. I think if we pay attention to their guidance and direction, we can navigate *now* ~ through Earth's major transition ~ much more effectively and joyfully. We feel the closure as well as this new energy coming in and, it can be challenging to adjust either way. You have to just *KNOW* ~ that the efforts you make to *ADJUST* as you go, will determine the ultimate quality your life.
