Re-Calibrating Who You Are
Reference Point: Last Leo Solar Eclipse was July 2000 ~ so this energy will be similar but with a lot more intensity because of additional planetary energies, but it can serve as a reference point.
... NOW ... How are things shifting and changing in your life TODAY? The Eclipses are considered "course correctors" ~ whether you're a little (or a lot) off 'course' ~ and they are "intensified" solar and lunar energies pouring around and through you (no matter your level of consciousness). Things will be particularly intense now, leading up to the New Moon / Solar Eclipse in Leo of August 1st. In addition, that day is also one of the Sacred Seasons celebrated by various Pagan cultures all over the world, called Lammas. This is considered the time of 'harvest' and it is a celebration, as well as an assessment. It is time to assess and celebrate how far you have come, how much you have manifested and your overall progress for this cycle. You can also call on the Goddess Demeter to assist you with your process, she is one of the Goddesses associated with this season, and represents "the continuous cycle of life and death, the two phases of the vegetative power of the earth ... Here we see Demeter ready to give birth, to produce life. Demeter offers a blessing of fruitfulness and possibility, of coming joy, of abundant life, and of hope." This is where you are, at a crossroads or turning point, when depending on your harvest, it is time to plan the next leg of your journey ... with faith and confidence that "joy, abundance and hope" are yours!
Where are you in your evolution at this time? Do you feel like a "new you" is bubbling and about to burst open with life? Or perhaps you've just begun your journey of self-discovery and are just getting present to your evolution, moving a little groggily, but waking up nonetheless? Wherever you are in your development, this month will be revealing and (hopefully) creative and fun too! There will likely be some aspects of the process that are uncomfortable but that's the way growth and expansion goes. There are certain things you would not undertake (even the most necessary of changes) voluntarily, so these radical shifts, activated by the eclipse energy, are how the Universe helps things along during times like this. The ultimate blessing is to actually BE CONSCIOUS THROUGH IT!! To recognize where you are and the changes that are happening (whether you like it or not) and decide how you can contribute to this evolution ... how you can co-create with this energy.
Also, think back to February 2008, what did those Eclipses activate for you? (that you are just beginning to get the "aha" moment about now? Most times the energy is too intense AT the time and it is hard to know exactly WHAT or WHERE the energies are pushing you, and Eclipse cycles tend to take about 6mo to clarify the activation, while the entire process can last in as many YEARS, as the Total Solar Eclipse lasts in HOURS. So this means that the Leo/Aquarius energy being activated at this time can last up to about 4+ years, putting us right around 2012-2013. So what about you, your core-identity and gift to the world would you like grounded and fully integrated by then?
The Solar Eclipse will be activating your physical body, while the Lunar Eclipse will be activating your emotional body, but together, your spiritual body should go to a completely new level. The lessons this month will center around love (Leo) and objectivity (Aquarius). How can you be more objective about who and where you are so that you can get past some of the distractions - to the HEART of the matter? How can you connect to your core strength and the Source of ALL and contribute THAT ENERGY to the community?

ADD'L PLANETARY ENERGIES AFFECTING THE NEW MOON / SOLAR ECLIPSE Venus, the planet that represents love, art, beauty and resources also represents what we value and what we ultimately cultivate ... transiting through Leo activates some delicious and vital Fire energy within everyone. Some will be centered and radiant, with a strong sense of Self and a new inspiration where living your passion is concerned. While others still processing old material will be suddenly aware of how far they still have to go and will find a new commitment to living their passion and being true to Self.
Neptune, the planet of collective consciousness, dreams, visions and the dissolution of all boundaries ... transiting through Aquarius is bringing in the global community and dissolving boundaries of all kinds, large and small, for an entire generation.
Venus is a personal planet and affects individuals more strongly, whereas Neptune affects generations and the collective more. These two are opposite each other in Leo (Venus) and Aquarius (Neptune) and the push-pull is manifesting on small and large scales. Individuals are being faced with the task of balancing what is most important and near & dear to their hearts with a new vision for community - a global community - and the part they want to play. This can manifest as a serious tug of war between YOU and the COMMUNITY or you can co-create with the energy, take some time to clarify what you truly value, as well as what your creative talents are, and how you can share them with others to uplift the community and prove that boundaries are an illusion to begin with ... we are ALL ONE! ~TOP~

THE LUNAR ECLIPSE
ADD'L PLANETARY ENERGIES AFFECTING THE NEW MOON / SOLAR ECLIPSE Transiting North Node represents the collective's need to master the lesson of Aquarius during this cycle. Nodes are not planets but a position in the sky relative to the Earth, Sun and Moon. The Nodes have two 9-yr cycles adding up to one 18-yr cycle. We just ended the 18-yr cycle of Virgo/Pisces and began Leo/Aquarius in December 2007. (Dec 2007 - Aug 2009 is the 2-yr cycle of grounding the 18yr cycle.) The Node energy along with a Full Moon / Lunar Eclipse is assisting in rebalancing your emotional body. It is time to keep your ego in check, learn to genuinely love your Self and embrace the concept of expansion, freedom and a global community. It is time to master detachment and objectivity, as well as the ability to see the bigger picture. For the collective, Chiron represents what needs healing, and in Aquarius, that would be grounding the global community ... a community of humans whose Leo (heart) is balanced, loving, courageous and generous. Chiron's cycle is erratic which, in my opinion, indicates that healing "takes as long as it takes". Currently Chiron is in Aquarius from 2005 - 2011, healing our definitions of self-love and community. Together in Aquarius, we have the Full Moon / Lunar Eclipse (releasing old patterns) + North Node (karma and the collective evolution) + Chiron (healing) + Neptune (the vision). That is a potent mix to be activated all at once. This is an excellent time to truly break some bad habits, heal your body and spirit so you can be a more active and effective member of a larger, more supportive and self-sustained community to which you lovingly and joyfully want to contribute to and be a part of. It is time. If you are rigid, coming from ego on any level and/or do NOT allow this healing to be anchored within, you will remain where you are, or worse, regress.
If you choose to co-create with these potent energies at this time, you can take giant leaps in the direction of your focus. (Which begs the question, what are you focused on these days? survival? or thrive & prosper? being 'near light'? or actually BEING the Light?) Leo and Aquarius energy is moving through some area of each individual chart, lighting up that area and demanding your attention. This is the area getting a "make over" in the looks/appearance department and where you need to integrate "alternative" ways of functioning. It's time to be new and innovative in how you express yourself! We must all embrace a new version of Oneness, the Global Community.
